Doner Executive Staff Additions Represent Agency’s Commitment To Growth

(Southfield, Mich.) Doner has hired several executives that build on the agency’s growth in digital and new media. They are: Murray White, executive vice president, executive creative director, Greg Iszler, senior vice president-digital strategy, Abbey Berryman, senior vice president-strategic leader and Kate MacArthur, senior vice president-brand content director.

“Last week we announced a new generation of leadership to better position the agency for the future,’ said Alan Kalter, Doner chairman-CEO. “Today we have taken another step forward in that mission with four executive hires who bring more insightful, innovative and holistic marketing ideas to leverage all the ways, particularly digitally, to engage consumers. They are proof of our commitment for growth.”

As executive vice president, executive creative director White will report to Rob Strasberg, Doner senior partner, vice chairman-chief creative officer. He will supervise the creative for several of the agency’s accounts. He joins Doner from Springer & Jacoby International, Amsterdam where he was creative partner as well as creative director international. While there he supervised the international brand work across the agency’s 13 European offices on accounts such as Olympus, Mercedes-Benz, Coca-Cola and Siemens Mobile. Known throughout Europe for using deep thinking to come up with simple ideas that are flawlessly executed on all levels of communication, White is a highly decorated creative leader who truly lives in the media agnostic moment. A partial list of his accolades include Gold Cannes, D&AD, Clio, Epica and Eurobest.

Iszler returns to Doner as senior vice president-digital strategy where he will report to David DeMuth, Doner senior partner, president-chief operating officer. He will work closely with Doner’s senior interactive creative and media staff to continue to evolve the agency’s digital and integrated marketing capabilities. He brings a unique perspective of working at both pure digital and traditional agencies where he integrated digital into their cultures and processes. Iszler most recently headed client services at digital shop Enlighten, Ann Arbor, Mich.

As senior vice president- strategic leader for the agency’s media department, Berryman will report to Greg Clausen, Doner chief media officer, and will focus on moving the agency forward to develop fully integrated media plans for several of the agency’s accounts. She joins Doner from Starcom Mediavest Group, Detroit where she led the development of strategic framework, targeting and media mix philosophy for Saturn. Berryman has won several industry awards for her work including a CLIO, Effie and Gold MIXX award. In addition, she was a 2008 Cannes Media Lions Finalist in the Best Use of Mixed Media category for her work on Cadillac.

MacArthur joins Doner as senior vice president, brand content director to help improve the brand communication. In the past decade, MacArthur broke some of the biggest stories in marketing and advertising, with many for Advertising Age. She also brings a dozen years of marketing communications experience for such companies as Deloitte & Touche and Rhea & Kaiser. Reporting to Alan Kalter she will work closely with management to transform the agency brand image and social media efforts.
